May 2017 will see our first Brick event. A chance for new and old fans of those small plastic bricks to be suitably excited and enthralled with the displays. Yes, a LEGO® exhibition is coming to the GWSR; we will be holding a brick exhibition (LEGO® bricks to you and me), at Toddington over the weekend of May 13th & 14th 2017.
Be enthralled by the expertise of Southern Lego Train Club's members, who will be providing the displays. There will also be demonstrations and a chance for our smaller visitors to have a go at building their own brick structures.
We will be operating a red timetable with a difference! In addition to our 2 steam loco hauled trains running between Toddington and Cheltenham Race Course, a top-and-tailed diesel-hauled train will replacing the diesel railcar on the Laverton/Toddington/Winchcombe service, (keep checking back for details of which diesel locos will be operating).
Tickets will be available on-line shortly.
You will be able buy a joint Train and Brick event ticket or, tickets just for the Brick event or, of course, just for train travel.
|Type of Ticket||Adult||Senior||Child (5 - 15)||Family (2 + 3)|
Advanced purchase on-line
* Note: A £1.00 p&p fee will be added to all on-line orders.
Free parking will, as always, be available but, at Toddington, in the overflow car park and also at Cheltenham Race Course Station.
Why not travel from Cheltenham Race Course by steam train and make a great day out of it?
In addition to the exhibits, we also welcome a number of traders selling Lego® and there is also a free-to-enter competition, details on the Brick event flyers.
Our GWSR shop on platform 1 will be offering its usual amazing range of gifts and other items, and the Flag and Whistle Café will of course also be open as normal providing snacks and meals.
So it is Bricks in May at The GWSR!
