Now that the two new signalboxes have been built, is it possible to improve their looks by fixing finials to the roof apex at each end to give them a 'Railway look', less like an ordinary modern building?

The design of the signal boxes is based on a typical GWR signal box design modified as necessary to meet building regulations and provide additional security from vandalism. A
typical example of the design adopted was the Stratford West box which had the finials referred to. There is more external work to be carried out on both boxes and the fitting of the finials comes within this category. Question asked 15.02.05, answered by the Properties Director.
