Santa Specials 2007

To add to the excitement of Christmas, why not take a trip on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's famous Santa Special? This is a great festive occasion for everyone.

After travelling from Toddington to Winchcombe, you will meet the elves and helpers who assist Santa in his work. Then of course, there is the experience of meeting the great man himself in his Christmas Grotto. Whilst at Winchcombe Station you are also invited to have a mince pie and a hot or cold drink.

Everyone gets to see Santa and each child will receive a present. The quality of these presents and the festive atmosphere make this one of the best visits to Santa in the area.

Children under 2 years of age may travel free if they don't occupy a seat, but will only receive a token gift. If you wish them to have a larger present please purchase a child's ticket at the time of booking.

Advance booking is essential as many trains sell out completely early in the season. Please indicate a second and third choice of date and time on your booking form as a precaution.

Refunds cannot be given once a booking has been accepted. We may however, be able to alter the time and date of travel subject to a £10 administration charge.

Santa specials only run from Toddington Station. Winchcombe and Cheltenham Race Course stations are closed throughout this period.

On the day please ensure you have your tickets with you at all times as without them we regret you will be unable to visit Santa.

All trains depart from Toddington Station in Gloucestershire, just off the B4632 between Winchcombe and Broadway. Click here for directions.

An easy way to book is to download the Santa booking form (the form is a PDF file, click here to download Adobe’s free Acrobat Reader) and send it to us with a cheque and a stamped addressed envelope. We will then send you the tickets you require from late September onwards. The address is Santa Specials, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, The Railway Station, Toddington, GL54 5DT. Although every effort will be made to run the trains as advertised, the GWSR reserves the right to cancel, alter or suspend any service without notice. The liability in the event of cancellation will be limited to a refund of the appropriate part of the fare.
