SR no. 850 Lord Nelson landed at Toddington on Saturday evening, 17th May. The engine was gently lowered on to GWR metals after the long road journey from the National Railway Museum at York.  A small crowd was there to admire the 1926-built machine which when built, was the most powerful 4-6-0 in the country. Lord Nelson is set to take top billing at the Cotswold Festival of Steam next weekend and the weekend after, 24th May to 1st June. Ian Crowder's picture shows Lord Nelson being winched off its low loader.
