October was another successful month for the Honeybourne Line with total sales 11.5 per cent ahead of the same period last year.  That's a total year to date of 61,077 train ticket sales.  23 per cent of the total were issued at Cheltenham.  November - traditionally the quietest month for the railway - is also shaping up well ahead of the busy Christmas season.

Although passenger numbers were similar to last year for the major events, the Steam & Vintage Fair at Cheltenham Racecourse and the Autumn Diesel Gala, there were some particularly busy mid-week days.  For example about 500 tickets were sold on both October 28^th and 29^th.

Colin Dymock, head stationmaster, points out that provided numbers for December hold out we will see well in excess of 70,000 over the year - which would be another record.
