David Shepherd’s 9F class no. 92203 Black Prince is on holiday – at the Great Central Railway, based at Loughborough. The locomotive seems to be enjoying its break working on a route that was once familiar territory to the 9F class.

The GWR and Cheltenham Racecourse are teaming up for special family day on Saturday 17th October to provide families with a rare glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes both at the railway and at the Racecourse. Called The showcase, the day includes a morning of racing as well as meeting jockeys, visiting the commentary box, weighing room, go into the ring and even try your hand at saddling a horse!
