Work begins at Gotherington with new drainage works

Drainage is something that most people don't give a second thought
to - until it goes wrong. For the Gloucestershire Warwickshire
Railway, it is very much top-of-mind as the way water drains off
the Cotswolds was a contributing factor in the embankment collapse
at Gotherington. Work is now underway to install a new drainage
system on the Cotswold side of the embankment.

First Gotherington embankment collapse contracts placed - and green

the collapsed Gotherington embankment. Malcolm Temple explains how
