The good folk of Winchcombe are turning the clock back to the 1940s along with the railway over the weekend of 23rd and 24th April, adding to the packed programme of events. And both the railway and the town will be graced by a visit from King George VI to rally the troops as well as encourage local people to support the war effort!

The 'Broadway: The Last Mile' share offer launched by Pete Waterman on Tuesday, 6th April, had swept past the £250,000 mark just a week later. It means that the railway can press on with the civil engineering work and preparation for track laying - and order new rail, sooner rather than later

The latest share offer from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway got off to a great start on 6 April. Pete Waterman - the railway's President, launched the issue at Broadway. Aiming to raise £1.25 million, it has already taken subscriptions of around £100,000!
