It’s big, blue, and is that the shape of a buffer? And surely that’s not Victorian Great Western ‘top-hat’ rail poking out? (Photo: Ian Crowder)

What could this huge mystery package, all tightly wrapped up in bright blue tarpaulins, possibly be?  It suddenly appeared on the car park at Toddington station over the weekend.  A late Christmas present perhaps?

Well, the package has an exciting shape - could it be a locomotive?  And as a further clue there are a couple of rails poking out.  And the rails are a tad wider than standard gauge…
