The Diesel Department is formed of several locomotive owning groups, who undertake restoration, maintenance and operation of the locomotives based on the GWR.

If you would like to join us on a Saturday or a Sunday here at Toddington, please contact us through the Booking Office on Toddington Station, by writing to the address below, or through the website contact form here.

No special skills are required to become a volunteer and you will be given instruction on the projects that you choose to work on. You must be a member of the GWR to become a volunteer.

The two current restoration projects are 26043 and 45149, which are both owned by the Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group (CMDG).
