Get into the true spirit of Christmas with the railway's annual evening open air 'Christmas Carols by Steam Train' service. It will take place on 9th December departing from Toddington at 7.00pm. This year the event is in aid of the charity Winston's Wish.
Winston's Wish is the UK's childhood bereavement charity and has been supporting bereaved children since 1992. Winston’s Wish supports children and young people after the death of their mum, dad, brother or sister. This is one of the most devastating and sometimes traumatic situations a child can face. However, with the right support at the right time, children can face their future with confidence and hope. For more details about Winston's Wish visit their website www.winstonswish.org.uk.
The carol service, with Cheltenham Silver band, will take place under the Christmas lights on the platform at Winchcombe station following arrival of the special train. The service will be led by Rev John Mead.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be served on the train
