Cotswolds Food & Drink Fayre - Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October 2020

Owing to the ongoing coronavirus issue and following government advice,  the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway has taken the decision to cancel the Cotswolds Food & Drink Fayre event on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October. We apologise for the disappointment and appreciate your understanding.

As part of the development of the Railway, this year our Food & Drink Fayre is on a new site at the station. Many of the stalls will be inside the former Garden Centre Building. The adjoining marquee will also offer stalls under cover with additional pitches outside completing the array of stalls for you to discover.

Entry to the Fayre is FREE.

Once again this year there will be around 45 stalls displaying a variety of local and regional foods, both sweet and savoury whilst other traders will have drinks to accompany the food on offer.

Many of the keenly priced and well-packaged gifts from the Fayre will make ideal Christmas presents.

At Toddington, The Flag & Whistle cafe will have hot and cold food available to purchase including a special barbecue which will situated next to the cafe. This will be open from 9.00am to 5.30pm.

Trains will run throughout the day to this timetable with two Steam trains and a diesel railcar operating along the full length of the line between Broadway and Cheltenham Racecourse stations. Visitors can enjoy a trip between these two stations at normal ticket prices. Vouchers issued to GWRT Members and GWSR Shareholders will all be valid. Reciprocal Travel Arrangements with other heritage railways will apply.

Special Early Steam Trains From Both Cheltenham Race Course and Broadway Stations

If you are starting at the Cheltenham Racecourse we are running an early diesel train from both Cheltenham Racecourse at 9:40am and also from Broadway stations at 9:40am so that you can fully benefit from all that is happening at Toddington. The early train will operate on both the Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Car Parking

There is free parking at Toddington and Cheltenham Racecourse Station.

At Broadway, there is a council owned and managed pay-and-display car park near the station on the opposite side of the main road under the railway bridge, less than a 5 minute walk from the station entrance. If you pay £5 for 10 hours' parking at this car park you will receive a voucher for £3 redeemable at the station booking office against one railway ticket. Note: the voucher is only valid if you travel on the same day that you park and is not usable in conjunction with any other discount or voucher, if you buy tickets in advance, use member or shareholder vouchers or use any other form of discounted ticket.

You can save time on the day by buying your all-day rover ticket on-line in advance. Click on the 'Book tickets now' button below and change the calendar to October, then buy tickets for 17th or 18th October.
