Get into the true spirit of Christmas with the railway's annual evening open air 'Christmas Carols by Steam Train' service at Winchcombe station. It will take place on Saturday 14th December. The train there will depart from Toddington at 7.00pm and now is the time to put it in your diary.
The service this year will be in aid of Maggie's Cancer Care Centres, the support organisation providing free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. For more information about Maggie's Centres go to www.maggiescentres.org.
The carol service will take place under the Christmas lights on the platform at Winchcombe station following arrival of the special train.
Tickets will cost £17 for Adults and £12 for Children. The ticket price includes:
- parking at Toddington station;
- the carol service;
- the return train journey including a trip to Cheltenham Race Course station and back after the service;
- a mince pie and mulled wine or tea or coffee.
Tickets will be available from the railway and Maggie's from October.
Please note, there will be no car parking at Winchcombe station and the service can only be reached using the special train from Toddington. Don't forget - the train departs Toddington promptly at 7.00pm! And you must buy your tickets in advance - they will not be available on the day. This event regularly sells out.
