Traders and Preservation Groups
The Cotswold Festival of Steam, 3-5 June 2022, will feature lots of activity both on and off the rails.
There's plenty to explore with stands from traders as well as preservation groups: and if you are a trader, book your space now! (Jack Boskett)
At Toddington in both a marquee and in the David Page Steam Shed, there will be the opportunity to explore what local and railway-related traders have to offer, to say nothing of the organisations that are busy restoring steam locomotives both on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway as well as on other railways - but could at some point bring their locomotives to visit the Cotswolds for events such as this.
You can find out about projects to build completely new locomotives such as Churchward County Trust which is building County class 4-4-0 no. 3840 'County of Montgomery'. This is a class once associated with the Straford-upon-Avon-Cheltenham route - long extinct but is becoming reality once again at Didcot.
Many of the 'trade stands' are of particular interest such as the Beer Tent at Winchcombe. At Toddington in the marquee and David Page Shed will be a range of stands offering a startlingly wide variety of products new and used for sale including railwayana such as books, pictures and DVDs.
If you are a trader or preservation society wishing to take a space, book now!
All you have to do is complete the this PDF application form and pop it in the post, or scan it and email it, as instructed on the form.
