As its name suggests, our Cheltenham Race Course Station is within the boundaries of the famous Cheltenham Racecourse and it is the southern terminus of our line.
By another GWR quirk, our station name has ‘Race Course’ as two separate words. The platforms are normally reached by a long ramp down to Platform 1, although there is level access for disabled visitors.
The Booking Office is situated on the platform. You should allow at least 15 minutes to walk down the sloppe and obtain tickets, as queues occur.Trains cannot be held for late passengers.
Find Us
The entrance is located inside the Cheltenham Racecourse Complex. Enter the main entrance for the racecourse, passing by the security office and follow the road to the far end of the car park. You will pick up ‘Steam Railway’ signs follow these to the far corner and you will find our own fenced off parking complex.

Our Facilities
Parking
There is a reasonalbly sized hard surface car park at Cheltenham Race Course Station. Access is via the main Racecourse entrance. On some race-meeting dates parking may be limited or alternative parking may be provided. Check our Events web page for information.
Food & Drink
There is a refreshment building - Snacks by Tracks - on the platform where hot and cold drinks along with crisps, cakes and chocolate snacks are available.
Open when trains are operating:
10.00am until the the last train of the day.
Card and cash payments accepted.

There are facilities for nappy changing and an accessible toilet.
